About RTR Public School
The RTR Public School District is roughly 298-square-miles located in southwest Minnesota. The current student enrollment in September of 2021 is 650 students. RTR Public School employs 50 licensed staff, 44 non-licensed staff, two principals, a dean of students, and a full-time superintendent. The school district operates its own food service program. The school district's transportation service program is run by a private, contracted company. Special education director and business management services are provided by the Southwest West Central Service Cooperative.The school district passed a facility bond election on February 12, 2019 and built a PreK-12 new school which opened in September of 2021.

About the Community
RTR Public School District is in southwestern Minnesota. The area economy is fueled by farming and agribusiness. RTR is composed of communities of Russell, Tyler, and Ruthton. The three communities have been working cooperatively since the fall of 1987, and consolidated in 2006.Mission Statement
