INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2902
(RUSSELL-TYLER-RUTHTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS)
STATE OF MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election has been called and will be held in and for
Independent School District No. 2902 (Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Public Schools), State of Minnesota, on
Tuesday, February 12, 2019, for the purpose of voting on the following question:
School District Question 1
Closing Existing Facilities and Issuing
Bonds for a Replacement Facility
Shall the board of Independent School District No. 2902 (Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Public Schools) be
authorized to close and demolish, if necessary, some or all of its three existing school facilities
and to issue general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $35,000,000 to
provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the
construction and equipping of a new PreK-12 school facility and related site improvements, in
Tyler, Minnesota, to replace the closed school facilities?
BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
