Food Drive

     Let’s help everyone have a great holiday season.  The RTR Elementary Student Council is collecting non-perishable food for the Tyler food drive.

     We will be collecting items November 24th through December 5th. The class that brings in the most items will get to choose a prize. Help your class win by donating food!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dear Parents,

In our effort to improve communication between

parents and school, RTR Public Schools is instituting a telephone broadcast system that will enable school personnel to notify all households and parents by phone within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event that causes early dismissal, school cancellation or late start.  The majority of scenarios that we intend to utilize this system for are due to inclement weather and include the following:

 

*School cancellation

*Late start of school

*Early dismissal

*Afternoon athletic practice cancelled

               *Evening music or athletic event cancelled

 

Please be assured that RTR Public Schools will continue to report school closings due to snow or weather on KMHL and KLOH radio stations, WCCO, KELO, and KSFY television, and on www.marshallradio.net.  This communication system will serve as an overlay to the public announcements.

 

When the system is used, the system will simultaneously call the registered phone numbers in our parent contact list and will deliver a recorded message from an administrator at RTR Public Schools.  With the variety of uses for this system, the calls will be sent out at varying times of the day.  The calls may come early in the morning to report a school cancellation or may come during the school day to report early dismissal or evening event cancellations.

 

If you would like to register for this communication system, you need to provide the school district with ONE phone number that you want the system to contact you at, keeping in mind the varying times of the calls.  Please complete the information below, and return it to the elementary.
