UPCOMING TESTS AT RTR ELEMENTARY
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming TerraNova & MCA II tests.
April 7th – 11th, grades K-2 will be taking the TerraNova tests.  The TerraNova is the standardized test that we use at RTR Elementary School.
On April 15th & 16th, the students in grades 3-5 will be taking the reading portion of the MCA II test.  Then on April 22nd & 23rd, grades 3-5 will be taking the MCA II math test.
Please make sure your child gets a good night of sleep so he/she is rested and ready to go.  These tests are very important to our students and our school district.  Here are some test tips.  For multiple choice questions, read all the answers before marking your choice.  Remember, your first instinct is usually best – so don’t change your answer unless you are sure.  For True/False questions, look for words such as never, always, all, and none.  They’re usually false answers.  Words like may or often are generally found in true answers.  For Essay questions, read them at least twice.  Then, make a list of important thoughts, or key points, about each question before writing your essay.  Read through the finished essay to be sure you’ve included all your key points.  Check spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
