Current Events

Every day one student will prepare to give a class presentation on Current Events of the day.  You may find your information in a daily newspaper or internet sites such as cnn.com, ksfy.com, keloland.com, marshallindependent.com or television or radio news reports.  On the back of this paper is a list of the students in your grade and the dates that you will present your current events.  You are responsible to be prepared for the presentation.  A list will also be posted in the classroom.  The teacher will not remind you.  This is an important part of your grade.

The presentation will consist of  the following items:

One international(happening in a country other than the US) news item

One national news item(happening in the US outside of Midwest region)

One state or regional news item (happening in the Midwest)

        One local news item

No more than one of these items can be related to sports.

You should include the following information for each news item:  (at least 4 of these questions should be answered in your presentation)

        Who?

        What?

        When?

        Where?

        Why?

        How?

This presentation is worth 100 points.  You MUST present this on the day listed on the back of the paper.  If you do not present on the day assigned to you, YOU WILL RECEIVE NO POINTS.  That means you will receive a zero.  This will affect your grade and may cause you to fail this class.
